Common Questions
Is the MPH program CEPH accredited?
Yes. The MPH program is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), the recognized accrediting body for schools and programs of public health in the United States. CEPH accreditation is required for many government and NGO positions.
Is the GRE required for admission?
The GRE is not required for the MPH, MS in Epidemiology, or Graduate Certificate programs. The DrPH program requires either a GRE score or evidence of significant professional experience at the senior level.
Can I pursue the DrPH without an MPH?
The DrPH requires an MPH or equivalent master’s degree in a health-related field. Applicants with a master’s degree in a related discipline (e.g., nursing, medicine, health administration) may be considered with additional prerequisite coursework.
Are there any required in-person components?
All programs are fully online and asynchronous. The MPH includes an Applied Practice Experience that can be completed at a local health agency or organization in your community. The DrPH includes an optional in-person leadership residency weekend.
